This week Searchlight received the great news that Crown Commercial Service (CCS) have named Searchlight on a new framework focused on helping central, local government and other public sector buyers with their back-office transformation programmes.

The snappily titled RM6193 Software Design & Implementation Services (SDIS) framework, focuses on our core expertise in helping organisations to evolve and transform, enabled by  cloud-based enterprise solutions and upgraded legacy business applications.  It is the 3rd CCS framework that we have been awarded a place on, the others being G-Cloud 12 and DOS 5.

Available to all central government departments, local government, arm’s length bodies, devolved administrations, the wider public sector and third sector organisations. SDIS is a new framework and covers the end-to-end lifecycle of technology-enabled change programmes:

• Strategy, architecture & roadmap development
• Business case support and software selection
• Implementation and integration services
• Business process automation
• Management of data migration and testing
• Change management, training and on-boarding

This agreement is ideal for customers who need to have a clear split between a contract with a software provider and the supplier providing professional services. The software can be procured using RM6194 Back Office Software, which has been designed in conjunction with this agreement and will launch in April.

We are truly honoured to have secured a place on the SDIS agreement, which has only 57 suppliers listed on it.  We will now be able to advise on and support the technology-enabled journeys of local and central government, as well as other ‘public’ organisations and arm’s length bodies. Searchlight’s track record of delivering successful transformation and improvement programmes enabled by enterprise and cloud-based business applications, will evolve, transform and automate organisations’ back-office processes in their drive to provide improved service and support to the UK and its citizens.

CCS supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services.  All public sector organisations, including agencies and arm’s length bodies, as well as those in the third sector and in education can use SDIS, in addition to G-Cloud 12 and DOS 5 which are hosted on the Digital Marketplace.  Buying services through frameworks is faster and cheaper than entering into individual procurement contracts.  As a result, it is increasingly being recognised as an easy way to buy digital and cloud services by a wide range of organisations. In 2019/20, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits worth over £1bn – supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.
