What’s your navigator? Make this your journey, not SAP’s

Support for SAP ECC is coming to an end and the time to act is now, however companies are struggling to understand where the real business value is in moving to a new ERP platform.

The product roadmap from SAP itself is one which seems to be rigid and technology driven. In addition, as SAP move from on premise ERP to Cloud, their messaging is somewhat confusing!

However, any strategic investment in technology needs to focus on enhancing or adding capabilities and business value rather than focusing on how to get to Cloud.

Your roadmap to S/4HANA must:

  • Balance value, cost and risk
  • Be aligned to business needs

For some, this may mean that S/4Hana is not the route to go down – is it time to buck the trend and re-evaluate your ERP options?

At Searchlight, we see technology as a business enabler, not a restraint.” – Bryan Oak, COO at Searchlight

Any strategic investment in technology needs to focus on enhancing or adding capabilities that help you compete tomorrow.

A strategy starts with three questions:

  1. Where is the business value in moving on from your existing SAP ERP platform?
  2. Should you move to S/4HANA?
  3. Should you take action sooner rather than later?

With all the talk of a Cloud Journey, how do you know which road to take?

At Searchlight we help customers to focus on the future, as well as to untangle and demystify your journey.

“Searchlight Consulting has helped us progress from initial business – IT strategy alignment and development of a roadmap for final delivery. We’ve seen a huge return on investment as a result.” – Stefan Barden, CEO of Wiggle

Through strategy alignment, selection and commercial negotiation we can help you build a digital roadmap that isn’t clouded by a predetermined journey.

Have you considered the time left on your existing investment? Whatever route you decide to take, change management is crucial to ensure your organisation has sufficient preparation to achieve a smooth and low risk transition.
