Modern Slavery Statement
This statement is made in line with s54(1) of the Modern Slavey Act 2015
Who we are
Searchlight is a business management and IT change consultancy, and we provide consultancy services to businesses to help them through the complex process of business change, improvement and transformation.
Our existence depends on our reputation for being experts in our field. We have a strong base of employees who have many years of consulting experience. We also use our own network of highly specialised sub-contractors to assist us where our clients’ needs require it.
Our commitment
We are committed to the principles set out in the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and the abolition of modern slavery and human trafficking.
As an equal opportunities’ employer, we are committed to creating and ensuring a non-discriminatory and respectful working environment for our staff. We want all our staff to feel confident that they can expose wrongdoing without risk to themselves.
Our recruitment and people management processes are designed to ensure that all prospective employees are legally entitled to work in the UK and that employees are safeguarded from abuse or coercion.
We do not enter into business with organisations in the UK or abroad which knowingly support or are found to be involved in slavery, forced labour or trafficking.
Our supply chain
We procure consultancy services from small independent businesses. We will only work with businesses that are fully registered in the UK and have limited company status. They are also required to enter into strict contractual obligations with us including compliance with anti-slavery and human trafficking legislation. We do not buy any services directly from individuals.
All staff who are involved in the procurement of these services are aware of these requirements.
Our policies
We have the following policies which are available to all our staff via SharePoint/Teams:
- Code of Ethics and Conduct
- Anti-harassment policy
- Equality Policy
- Health and Safety policy
Principles in practice
We will continue to put these principles into practice by doing the following:
- Providing regular training to all staff on the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and informing them of appropriate action to take in the event that they suspect a case of slavery or human trafficking.
- Providing updates to that training where required.
- Ensuring all staff involved in recruitment are aware of and follow our policies on slavery and human trafficking.
- Ensuring annual policy reviews include consideration of modern slavery risks and prevention.
- Ensuring our contracting terms for third parties include reference to modern slavery and human trafficking requirements.
