Thursday 21st May 2020 4pm BST
Join Searchlight Consulting at 4pm BST on Thursday 21st May 2020 for a discussion on what it takes to lead a business out of “lockdown” and the personal resourcefulness which this will demand from business and technology leaders.
While some organisations have totally stopped, all businesses have had to rapidly adjust to operating within Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown constraints. We don’t know how long the coronavirus outbreak will last, and we are all having to adjust our plans to the latest Government advice and guidance.
What is clear, is that the welfare of a huge number of people depends on businesses being able to ramp back up their operations in a controlled manner. If that wasn’t enough, the stark reality is that most organisations are now forced to re-evaluate their plans for 2020-21. Some will be debating whether their business model is truly sustainable, while others will have identified aspects of the way they work that are just not “fit for purpose”.
Re-alignment of operating models, resetting change programmes and reprioritisation of technology investments are “the order of the day” now, not in 3-6 months’ time. The key to success will be for organisations to balance the immediate operational ramp up pressures, within the bounds of evolving Government advice, with the medium to longer-term journey to their next-state operating models.
BUT “One dead battery can’t charge another”: Effective change leaders work on themselves as individuals. They know that to lead stakeholders and organisations successfully through change, they need to be high performers.
Across two webinars, we’ll be looking at the steps organisations need to take to transition out of lockdown, as well as what you need to pay attention to on your personal path as a change leader.
Head of Strategy & Architecture at Searchlight Consulting, Bryan Oak will be joined by special guest Harriet Beveridge to weave together these two aspects of “leading operational re-alignment after lockdown”.
Harriet is an Executive Coach with 20 years’ experience. She started her career with Ernst and Young in major change programmes and went on to specialise in the people side of successful change.
